Sulthan’s Sponge Pudding with Orange Sauce

Ingredients:
- 150g of all-purpose flour
- 150g of granulated sugar
- 150ml of milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 100g of unsalted butter
- 200ml of fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- Zest of 1 orange
Kitchen Tools Needed:

- Whisk
- Oven
- Saucepan
- Serving Dish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth and well combined.
- Melt the butter and gently fold it into the batter until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- While the pudding is baking, prepare the orange sauce by combining the orange juice, cornstarch, and zest in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Once the pudding is done baking, let it cool for a few minutes before serving with the warm orange sauce drizzled on top.
