Ingredients:

  • 250g of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of active dry yeast
  • 150ml of warm water
  • 2 tbsp of plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 3 tbsp of melted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Pastry brush

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the warm water and yogurt to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll each portion out into a teardrop shape about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, and place one naan on the skillet.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush the hot naan with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic and coriander leaves.
  • Repeat the process for the second naan.
