Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3/4 cup of yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • water as needed

  • kitchen towel

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Add the yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll out each portion into a flat circle with a rolling pin.
  • Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook each naan for about 1-2 minutes on each side until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Serve warm, preferably with a side of curry or your favorite dip.
